The Idasee in Ostrhauderfehn in East Friesland is a ten-hectare quarry pond that was created by extracting sand to build the federal highway 72 .

The water values are regularly checked by the health department in the summer months and the measured values are posted at Lake Ida. The limit values are clearly undercut. So the water is of the best quality. In 2003 the water ski cableway on Lake Ida was put into operation. In 2008 a new wakeboard fun park was built here.
