On a school day like any other, Kurumi asks her friend Akira to help the boxer and mutual friend Umezawa. He is in a wild fight and calls to the two friends that they should flee. But they interfere. Kurumi is bitten by one of the attackers and shortly afterwards also bites Umezawa. The three flee, but those bitten become just as aggressive as the attackers. Akira finds his girlfriend when she eats a bystander. When she attacks him too, everyone suddenly goes back to normal. You are confused and do not remember what happened. Some time later, the madness starts again and Akira tries to document the event together with the hobby photographer Madoka. But both put each other in danger.

When the bitten have come to rest again, they are expelled from the school. They can be easily recognized by their eyes. While the unbitten avoid any further contact, the outcasts band together and feel that they have been treated unfairly. Akira doesn't want to give up Kurumi and help her, but has lost his girlfriend's trust and is now between both sides.
