Nacho , real name Ignacio Pérez Santamaría (born June 24, 1980 in Málaga ), is a former Spanish football player .

Player career

Nacho began his career at the biggest club of his hometown - the FC Málaga . There he played mainly in the B-Team, which was represented in the Segunda División . For the 2004/05 season he was loaned to the first division club Levante UD , but had to accept relegation with the team from Valencia . He then returned to Málaga FC, but also relegated his home club at the end of the season.

Nacho was then drawn to the surprise team of Getafe FC, with whom he even reached the Copa del Rey final in 2007 and was able to qualify for the UEFA Cup . After only seven appearances in the 2007/08 preliminary round, he was loaned for the second half of the season to the second division Real Sociedad , where he had a regular place, but just missed promotion with the Basques. The following season Nacho Pérez was on loan in his hometown with Málaga FC before moving to Betis Sevilla in the summer of 2009 . Here he ended his active career in 2014.
