Ignatius XIX. Pilate I was a Patriarch of Antioch of the Syrian Orthodox Church .

Baptized in the name of Thomas, he officiated as Maphrian under the name of Basilius Pilatus from 1576 to 1591. He then succeeded his younger brother, the Patriarch Ignatius XVIII. David II Shah, appointed. He served as patriarch from 1591 to 1597. In 1582 he received the envoy of the Roman Pope Gregory XIII in the monastery of Mar Abhai near Gargar . Leonard Abel , Bishop of Sidon, who praised his erudition. A number of manuscripts copied by him have survived.
