Igor Wladimirowitsch Schchadilow ( Russian Игорь Владимирович Щадилов ; born June 7, 1980 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with HK Dynamo Moscow in the Continental Hockey League .

Career

Igor Schchadilow began his career as a hockey player at HK Dynamo Moscow , for which he was active in the Russian Super League from 1998 to 2001 , and with which he was the first Russian champion in 2000 . In addition, the defender was selected at this time in the NHL Entry Draft 1999 in the ninth round as a total of 249th player by the Washington Capitals , for which he never played.

The left shooter then ran for Severstal Tscherepowez for two years before returning to HK Dynamo Moscow for two seasons, with whom he again won the championship in 2005. After this success, Shchadilov signed a contract with his league rivals Ak Bars Kazan , with whom he was again champion in 2006 and won the IIHF European Champions Cup in 2007 . In the summer of 2007, the defender moved to Salawat Yulayev Ufa , with whom he was able to win the national championship again in 2008 and for which he was on the ice until 2009. This was followed by two more playing years at Ak Bars Kazan, before returning to his home club in 2011, which was now called OHK Dynamo .

He completely missed the 2012/13 season due to an injury except for seven games.

International

For Russia , Shchadilov took part in the U20 World Junior Championship in 2000 , where he won the silver medal with his team.
