Ihsan Ece
Ihsan Ece (born August 2, 1949 in Istanbul , Turkey ) is a German-Turkish painter and object artist.
Life
Ece studied from 1969 to 1970 at the Istanbul Engineering School before he went to Cologne as a guest worker . From 1972 to 1978 he studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy , and from 1976 as a master student with Klaus Köhler-Achenbach . As early as 1973 the artist had numerous exhibitions in Germany. In the first half of the 1980s, Ece also wrote literary contributions a. a. for anthologies on the topic of "Foreigners in Germany".
Ece, who has been a German citizen since 1994, lives in Heidelberg. He is a member of the artists' associations BBK Düsseldorf , Cologne, Heidelberg and SAN-DER.
