Illarion Vissarionovich Mgeladze
Illarion Wissarionowitsch Mgeladze ( Russian Илларион Виссарионович Мгеладзе ; Georgian ილარიონ მგელაძე , Ilarion Mgeladze ; * 1890 in Aketi , Kutais Governorate ; † July 28, 1941 ) was a Soviet journalist and literary critic of Georgian origin.
Life
Mgeladze wrote under the pseudonym Ivan Vardin . He was a member of the Oktjabr group , a manager at Na postu and an organizer at WAPP . He was expelled from the party in 1927. After practicing self-criticism in 1929, a year later it was accepted again. In 1941 he fell victim to the Stalinist purges .
