The Illustrierte Reichsbanner-Zeitung , from 1929 Illustrated Republican Newspaper , was a weekly magazine published by Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold between 1924 and 1933, which, in addition to the official notices of the Reichsbanner board, mainly contained articles on domestic and foreign policy, historical, technical and published scientific topics as well as travel and sports reports.
Publication and edition
The newspaper appeared weekly on Saturdays in Magdeburg and from 1926 in Berlin until 1933, when National Socialism put an end to the newspaper as a republican-minded veterans and combat group as part of the ban on the Reich banner. The first edition appeared in November 1924. In 1928 the magazine reached a circulation of 105,000 copies, in 1930 it fell to around 76,000.
