From Politics and Contemporary History ( APuZ ) is a supplement to the German weekly newspaper Das Parlament that has appeared since 1953 . Despite the unusual form of publication, it is one of the most important German-language specialist journals for political science . In each issue, a topic from politics, history and society is examined from different perspectives through scientific contributions by various authors. The journal is therefore also a forum for controversial discussion, it introduces complex areas of knowledge and offers a balanced mix of fundamental and current analyzes. The supplement is published by the Federal Agency for Civic Education .

You can read APuZ as a supplement to The Parliament and since 1995 also as an online edition. In addition, the Federal Center also offers separate volumes for sale. Current print editions of the brochure, however, can be ordered free of charge from the website.

It is expressly permitted to make copies of class size for teaching purposes. The contributions are under the license CC-BY-NC-ND 3.0 Germany .
