The Ilm-Kreis Personenverkehrsgesellschaft mbH (IKPV) is entrusted with the implementation of local public transport in the Ilm-Kreis . The IKPV is a 100 percent subsidiary of the Ilm district and is based in Arnstadt .

Member companies

Until December 31, 2017, the IKPV held a 34% stake in the following two bus companies in the Ilm district, 66% each were owned by private shareholders:

As of January 1, 2018, the shares in RBA Regionalbus Arnstadt GmbH were completely sold and the shares in IOV Omnibusverkehr GmbH were increased to 100%.

Line network

The IKPV bus network is the backbone of local public transport in the Ilm district with around 3.5 million timetable kilometers per year. It is characterized by 29 intercity bus lines and 4 lines in the city traffic of Arnstadt as well as 3 city lines in Ilmenau.
