Iltani
Iltani was a queen of Karana , daughter of Sumu-Addu and sister of Amat-Šamaš , a Šamaš-Nadītum . She married Aqba-ḫammu , who ousted her brother Aškur-Addu from the throne. Historical knowledge about her is fed in particular from the palace archive found in Tell al-Rimah , which contained extensive correspondence from her. Accordingly, she was responsible for the organization of the palace operations, in particular the textile industry and food supply. Like her contemporary Šibtu in Mari , she also acted as her husband's proxy when he was absent. She may have spent several years in exile in Ešnunna , but there is no more detailed information on this.
