The Evangelical Lutheran Immanuel Church in Hamburg-Veddel belongs to and serves a parish of the Northern Church . The buildings were built in 1905 according to the plans of the architect Hugo Groothoff by the company Friedrich Holst from Steinwerder as general contractor . The construction costs for the originally neo-Gothic church with parsonage amounted to 125,551 marks without equipment. After the destruction of the Second World War in 1944, the church building was rebuilt in a simplified form by the architect Hermann Schöne in 1953–54 using the old foundation.
