The Immortal (French: L'Invincible , English: The Immortal ) is a Canadian television series in 22 episodes of 42 minutes, which was created by Tim Gamble and Michael Grais and between October 7, 2000 and June 2, 2001 on television as a syndication was broadcast.
In France, the series was first broadcast on October 22, 2001 on RTL9 and then repeated on TF1 and NT1 .

After demons killed his wife and kidnapped his daughter in Japan in the 16th century , the Dutch merchant Raphael "Rafe" Cain swore that he would take revenge and kill all demons living on earth. He and his partner Goodwin attain immortality from the good spirit Yashiro in order to carry out their mission. In the 20th century they hunt demons with the help of a parapsychologist .
