Corporate development
Imprivata was founded by entrepreneurs who developed innovative identity management technologies as part of their work for the Polaroid Small Business Incubator . In 2004 Imprivata presented its first product, the “OneSign Single Sign-On Appliance for Companies”. In 2005, Imprivata expanded its corporate structure to include the regions of Europe, Africa and the Middle East and, with OneSign 3.0, presented a further development of the platform, which was characterized by improved expansion options and more comprehensive, strong authentication management. In addition to already with the first platform version supported biometric authentication by fingerprint offered secure access management Imprivata now also the possibility of physical access cards, one-time password - token , ID cards, contactless smart cards to integrate and so on. Imprivata OneSign, Imprivata's main product, supports companies as an appliance in managing their user access and authentication.
