A pulse fire extinguisher is a small portable extinguishing device . It is used to extinguish small and incipient fires and contains extinguishing agents that are ejected through stored pressure or pressure generated during commissioning. It is mainly used in shipping .

Function and application

The water (extinguishing agent) is compressed under high pressure (approx. 25 bar) and discharged at a very high speed (up to 720 km / h).

When discharging, a fine droplet of water forms, which nebulises the fire through a very large volume and thus fights the fire as quickly as possible. The discharge takes place via the pulse pistol. Up to 1 liter of water is nebulized in a huge amount of very fine droplets (approx. One ten-thousandth of a millimeter in size) per shot.

The advantage over normal fire extinguishers is that there is the ability to transport a lot of fire heat away with a large cooling surface.

Compressed air is used as the pressure source and is patented .

equipment

Each unit consists of:

service

Two people are sufficient to operate the pulse extinguishing device and no pumps or motors are required.

Area of suitability / areas of application

This device is particularly suitable for fighting incipient fires in apartments, as only very small amounts of water are used. It is also suitable for fighting vehicle fires.
