Pulse cancellation process

Pulse cancellation process

The pulse extinguishing process describes a type of fire fighting .

Instead of discharging water onto the seat of the fire with a continuous jet , the pulse extinguishing method uses the water in pulses in pulses. The fire brigade's emergency services can thus better see how successful the extinguishing process is and limit the amount of water released to the bare minimum. This extinguishing technique, preferably used with hollow jet pipes , prevents water damage that can result from uninterrupted water discharge.

In the flue gas cooling , water is also released in pulses to control how far the temperature of the flue gas layer in the burning room has already been lowered.

Furthermore, the functional principle of an Impulse Fire Extinguishing System for fire fighting with impulsively ejected water is also referred to as a pulse extinguishing process. Here, the water is also released under high pressure (25 bar compared to 6 - 8 bar with conventional extinguishing fittings ) in order to spray a finely distributed and thus highly effective extinguishing water mist.
