Gordana Perkučin
Gordana Perkučin (born May 7, 1962 in Novi Kneževac , Serbia) is a Yugoslav table tennis player . She became European champion in doubles in 1992.
youth
Gordana Perkučin achieved her first international successes at the European Youth Championships. Here she won the individual title in the cadet class in 1975 and 1976. In 1978 she reached the junior final in singles, doubles (with Ildiko Bolvari , Hungary) and mixed (with Iztok Frank). A year later she was again second in doubles with Ildiko Bolvari.
Adults
From 1977 to 1992 Perkučin took part in seven European and eight world championships .
In 1992 she became European doubles champion in Stuttgart together with Jasna Fazlić (Yugoslavia). Already in 1980 she had won silver in the singles behind Valentina Popovová . In 1984 she was second in doubles with Branka Batinić . She won another silver medal in 1986 in mixed with Ilija Lupulesku .
At the 1979 World Cup , she reached the semi-finals in doubles with Eržebet Palatinuš , and in 1989 World Cup she lost the mixed final with Zoran Kalinić .
Perkučin achieved her best placement in the European ranking tournament TOP12 in 1981 with eighth place. She qualified twice for participation in the Summer Olympics , namely in 1988 and 1992 . In 1988 she won the bronze medal in doubles with Jasna Fazlić . It was the only medal win by European women at this Olympiad.
In the ITTF world rankings , she was ranked eleventh in July 1980.
After 1992 she stopped performing internationally.
