Eržebet Palatinuš

Eržebet Palatinuš (born March 23, 1959 ) is a Yugoslav table tennis player . She became European mixed champion in 1976.

Career

From 1973 to 1975 Eržebet Palatinuš was Yugoslav youth champion in singles, in 1975 and 1976 she won the adult title. In 1976 she won the Yugoslav ranking tournament and took first place in the national ranking.

Eržebet Palatinuš achieved first international successes at the European Youth Championships. Here she was in the semi-finals of the individual competition in 1974 and 1975, in 1975 she won with the Yugoslav junior team, in 1976 she won in doubles with Dubravka Fabri and in mixed with Zoran Kalinić .

In the same year, 1976 , she was also nominated for the European Championships for adults, where she and Antun Stipančić became European mixed champions. In the final they defeated Milan Orlowski / Ilona Uhlíková (ČSSR). In 1978 and 1980 she took part again in the European Championships, where she won bronze in a mixed with Stipančić in 1980. In 1976 and 1979 she was third in the European ranking tournament TOP-12 , and in 1980 fifth.

From 1973 to 1983 she took part in six world championships and won bronze in doubles with Gordana Perkučin in 1979 . She won gold ten times at the Balkan Championships, twice at the Mediterranean Games.

In the ITTF world rankings , she was ranked 12th in mid-1976. After 1982 Eržebet Palatinuš no longer appeared internationally.
