Band history

Magrudergrind was founded in 2002 by three friends Avi Kulawy, Chris Moore and RJ Ober. The three musicians had previously played in unknown bands and shared an interest in both grindcore and hip-hop . In 2003, the band released their first demo , entitled Do not Support Humanitary Aid Led by the Church , 2004 was followed by a split - MC with Akkolyte and 2005, a split EP with Godstomper. In the same year, the self-produced album Sixty Two Trax of Thrash, limited to 2000 pieces, was released on the American independent label To Live a Lie Records, a compilation of all of the band's titles previously included on split EPs. Rehashed , which is considered a debut album, was released in 2007 by the Californian DIY label Six Weeks Records, limited to 1000 CDs and 1000 LPs. The second, self-titled album was released in June 2009 in the US on Willowtip Records and was distributed outside the US by Candlelight Records . The album was mastered by Scott Hull . At the end of 2010, Magrudergrind recorded the EP Crusher , which was released in spring 2011 on the French indie label Bones Brigade Records. In a review of this EP, the music magazine Rock Hard described Magrudergrind as "one of the most important power violence grind combos". In summer 2007 & 2011 the band played at Obscene Extreme in the Czech Republic.

In early 2015, the band signed a record deal with Relapse Records and announced the release of their second studio album. This was published in February 2016 under the title II .
