Indian Academy of Sciences

The Indian Academy of Sciences ( English Indian Academy of Sciences , Hindi भारतीय विज्ञान अकादमी Bhaartiy vijnyaan akaadmi ) is the national Indian Academy of Sciences based in Bangalore , Karnataka . It was founded in 1934 by CV Raman , the inventor of Raman spectroscopy . It is India's second oldest academy after The National Academy of Sciences, India . The current president is Dipankar Chatterji .
