The Journal of Biosciences , abbreviated J. Biosci. , is a scientific journal published by the Indian Academy of Sciences . The journal was founded in 1934 under the name Proceedings of the Indian Academy of Sciences (Section B) . In 1978 the journal was split up and continued under the name Proceedings - Experimental Biology , in 1991 the name was changed to the current one. Works from all areas of biology are published.
