The Indian Bay Brook is a river in the northeast of the island of Newfoundland, which belongs to the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador .
River course
Indian Bay Brook flows from the eastern end of Number One Pond over a distance of 7.5 km in an easterly direction to the northwest arm of Indian Bay . At the mouth is the community of Indian Bay . Route 320 also crosses the river there. The Indian Bay Brook drains a lake-rich area in northeast Newfoundland. The river length including source rivers (from 90 m high Nine Mile Pond to the mouth) is about 47 km.
Hydrology
The catchment area of Indian Bay Brook covers an area of 554 km². The mean discharge is 13.9 m³ / s. In the months of April and May the river carries the largest amount of water with an average of 31.0 and 25.7 m³ / s.
Fish fauna
Atlantic salmon are found in Indian Bay Brook . Its existence in the river system is considered "not endangered".
