The Indukern Chemie AG based in Schlieren is an internationally active Swiss commodity trading company . Indukern Chemie specializes in trading, importing and exporting industrial chemical raw materials , in particular pharmaceutical substances as well as food and feed additives .

The company, which was founded in Schlieren in 1985, has its roots in the Indukern Group, which was founded in Barcelona in 1962 . Within this group, which today consists of more than 20 independent companies, Indukern Chemie AG carries out the international trading business.

70 percent of the raw materials are purchased in China, 20 percent in India and 10 percent in Europe. Via the port of Hamburg , where Indukern Chemie operates its own storage and distribution center, the products are sold from its headquarters in Schlieren in more than 40 countries. Around 95 percent of sales come from exports to Western and Eastern European countries. Indukern Chemie employs around 20 people at its headquarters in Schlieren and another six in Hamburg. According to the Handelszeitung , Indukern Chemie generated sales of 200 million Swiss francs in 2003.
