The Industria Malagueña SA was the first major Andalusian textile company in the south of Spain .

Industria Malagueña was founded in 1846 by the wealthy Pablo and Martín Larios and Heredia families in Málaga , Spain and specialized in the manufacture of yarns and fabrics from cotton , linen and hemp .

In addition to mechanical equipment such as looms and spinning machines, Industria Malagueña also had its own workshops, a power station, offices, warehouses and residential buildings for employees near the production facilities, as well as a branch that produced cotton fabrics in Málaga under the La Aurora brand. At the beginning of 1900 the company had a workforce of around 1,500, most of whom were women.

After 1905, due to the economic crisis, Industria Malagueña had to close.
