Industry (archeology)

As industry in which it is archeology uniform, matching fund range called. It is usually characterized by a single product that occurs in all areas of this "industry", often also giving it its name (example: hand ax industry). If, on the other hand, a large number of artefacts and finds are found in a region (example: hand axes ), one speaks of a technocomplex in the Palaeolithic and of an archaeological culture in the Neolithic (example: funnel beaker ) . Sometimes the finds also allow conclusions to be drawn about similar or identical behaviors and material processing.
