Thuisko from Metzsch

Thuisko von Metzsch (born April 10, 1918 in Dresden ; † July 12, 1994 ) was a German entrepreneur .

He comes from the Saxon noble family von Metzsch . On February 25, 1946, he married Anneliese Haniel, a daughter of Alfred Haniel and his wife Elly, née Heye. As Alfred Haniel's son-in-law, he succeeded him as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH and initiated the structural change of the group during his tenure. From 1953 to 1988 he was also a member of the Advisory Committee, which later became the company's advisory board. In 1988 he left the Supervisory Board together with Klaus Haniel . On this occasion, the company and its shareholders founded the non-profit Haniel Foundation .
