Klaus Haniel

Klaus Haniel (born January 14, 1916 in Munich ; † May 11, 2006 ) was a German entrepreneur .

In 1935 he passed the Abitur at the Wilhelmsgymnasium in Munich . From 1949 to 1951 he was in charge of the Baden-Württemberg Dogger ore mining of Gutehoffnungshütte AG in Geislingen and since 1952 he was the director of the Franz Haniel colliery . He was a member of the board of directors of Bergbau AG Neue Hope, Hüttenwerk Oberhausen AG and August Thyssen-Hütte AG . He held positions on the supervisory board at Gutehoffnungshütte Aktienverein and Gutehoffnungshütte Sterkrade AG , Bergbau- und Industrie AG Neumühl , Rheinpreußen AG Homberg, the gear factory Renk Augsburg, Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH , MAN AG and Verhaven BV Ertzlingen.
