INEOS ABS was a joint venture between Lanxess and Ineos founded in 2007 , into which the former Lustran-Polymers division was merged.
Ineos ABS was the world's third largest producer of ABS, a thermoplastic copolymer made from acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene . Other products were SAN styrene-acrylonitrile and ASA acrylic ester-styrene-acrylonitrile .
The organization had production sites in Cologne (Germany), Tarragona (Spain), Addyston (USA) and Map Ta Phut (Thailand), Nandessari, Moxi and Katol (India). The company employed around 1570 people and generated sales of EUR 800 million.
On October 1st, 2009 the company was fully acquired by INEOS.
