Infernal Torment ( English "infernal / hellish torments") was a Danish death metal band from Silkeborg . The band was best known for their incisive drummer, the guitarist Jakob "Batten" Hansen, as well as the extreme lyrics in which the singer sings about incest , pedophilia or necrophilia .
history
The band was formed in 1992. After the release of two demos Infernal Torment got a record deal with the Danish music label Diehard . In 1995 the debut album was released . With this album the band became known in the underground through the unique drum style of the drummer "Martin Boris" and the lyrics by Scott Jensen. He had developed a technique that is characterized by extreme speed in connection with abrupt breaks. "Martin Boris" left the band after the first album was released and was replaced by "Heinz". In the new line-up a second album was released before the band split up. Scott Jensen then founded the band Dawn of Demise , which released several albums. Jakob Batten joined Illdisposed in 1998 .
