Event in the House of the European Union

The liaison office is located in the House of the European Union in Vienna, Wipplingerstraße 35 ( Inner City district ) in the immediate vicinity of the Vienna Stock Exchange . The representative office of the European Commission in Austria is also located in the building . Before the opening of the new building on October 16, 2009, the liaison office was located in Hoyosgasse or, from 1996, on Kärntner Ring .

The House of the European Union not only offers rooms for the representations of the EU institutions , but also serves as a central contact point for citizens on the ground floor. In addition to offices and meeting rooms, the building also has an event hall for up to 150 people on the ground floor and a lobby where free information material about the European Union is available.

In the public part of the building, lectures, presentations and discussion events on issues relating to the European Union take place at regular intervals. In addition, the House of the European Union makes the event hall available to groups and organizations for events with a European dimension.
