Ministry of Communication and Information (Kazakhstan)

The Communications and Information Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan ( Kazakh Қазақстан Республикасының байланыс және ақпарат министрлігі , Russian Министерство связи и информации Республики Казахстан ) was the Ministry of Communications and Information and one of 18 ministries of Kazakhstan . The minister was Askar Kuanyschewitsch Schumagalijew from March 2010 to January 2012 .

General

The ministry was created in March 2010 as part of a restructuring of several ministries. It emerged from the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Information and Communication Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan has also been incorporated into the Ministry.

The Ministry of Oil and Gas is a central executive body of the Kazakh government for the implementation of state policy in the field of communications. It implements projects of the Kazakh government in the fields of communication and information. It also exercises state supervision over Kazakhstan's postal service providers.

In January 2012, the Ministry was dissolved after only two years of activity and its tasks were transferred to the Ministry of Culture and Information and the Ministry of Transport and Communication .
