Ingeborg Beugel

Ingeborg Beugel (born June 3, 1960 in The Hague ) is a Dutch journalist, filmmaker and television program developer.

Life

Ingeborg Beugel grew up in Brussels and attended the European School in Uccle there. She then studied in Amsterdam. From Athens she was a foreign correspondent in the Balkans . She also worked as a reporter for news magazines and then as editor-in-chief at the Dutch film and television production company IKON .

In 1992 Ingeborg Beugel conducted the interviews for the NOS television documentary Rebétika, de Griekse Blues German Rebétika, the Greek Blues by Rolan Hurioglu in collaboration with the musicians of the group Ano Kato .

She was the only journalist who managed to get in touch with Laetitia Delhez , victim of abuse by Marc Dutroux , about whom she made a report in 2001.

Her documentary series from 2004, Familietrots German family honor , about a family belonging to the Amsterdam precariat , attracted attention . Her film Dear Europe , which is about refugees from Guinea who froze to death hidden in the landing gear housing of an airplane, was awarded. In addition, the six-part television series Gelof, seks en (wan) hop ( Eng . Faith, Sex and Despair / Hope ) comes from her hand . In 2007 she was nominated for the Dutch De Tegel Media Prize for this examination of the integration problems of young migrants .

Ingeborg Beugel underwent cosmetic surgery in Thailand in 2006 . She has two children. Her latest project takes her to Rwanda with the aim of reporting on the life and fate of children and young people who were conceived as a result of rape.
