The Ingeringsee lies in the Seckauer Tauern ( Styria , Austria ) and is surrounded by several two thousand meter peaks. It is traversed by the Ingeringbach, which flows into the Mur at Knittelfeld . The lake is a popular excursion destination or the starting point for many hikes on the Gaal mountains. It is also located on the Zentralalpenweg and Eisenwurzenweg long-distance hiking trails .
You can reach the Ingeringsee from Knittelfeld in the direction of Gaal / Ingering II , about nine kilometers to the north.
Klementikapelle
The chapel at Ingeringsee was built by the Wasserberg Forest Administration and consecrated in 2015 to Saint Clement of Rome , who is venerated in Styria as the patron saint of forest workers.
