Ingo Horst

Ingo Horst (born December 19, 1977 ) is a German orienteer .

Horst started at six world championships between 1999 and 2006. At the European Championships in 2002 and 2004 he was tenth in the sprint. In 2005 he finished seventh at the World Games. He also won a bronze medal at the 2004 University World Cup.

Ingo Horst won the German championship on the long distance between 2001 and 2006. On the middle distance he was German champion in 2003, 2004 and 2006. With the season of TV 1898 Alsbach he became German champion in 2004 and in 2006 German champion in night orienteering.

He also won the Heidelberg half marathon several times.

Ingo Horst is a civil engineer and is still active today for orienteering, mainly by picking up new maps.
