The 23rd World Orienteering Championships took place from July 29th to August 5th, 2006 in and around Aarhus , Denmark . The sprint competitions were held in Mindeparken, the other races in the forests of Addit / Løndal Skov, Gjern Bakker and Himmelbjerget. The qualifications were carried out in Mindeparken and in the forests of Hjortsballe Krat and Linå Vesterskov.
