Øystein Kvaal Østerbø (born July 7, 1981 ) is a Norwegian orienteer and ski orienteer .

The sprint specialist has been competing for Norway at the European and World Championships since 2004, but has only been able to win a bronze medal with the Norwegian relay at the 2006 European Championships in Otepää . At the European and World Championships as well as at the World Games, he achieved fourth place in the sprint four times. In Norway, however, he has already won the national sprint championship four times, as well as the title in night orienteering once. At the Nordic Championships in 2005 in Notodden , Norway , he won the sprint decision.

In the ski orienteering started Øystein Kvaal Østerbø at the World Championships in 2004 and 2009. In 2004 he finished eighth in the sprint and sixth in the middle distance. He won silver with the relay. In 2009 he was fourth in the season, in the individual competitions he did not make it into the top ten. At the 2010 European Championships, he won bronze in the relay. He achieved his best individual placement in the long distance with sixth place.
