Daniel Hubmann (born April 16, 1983 in Eschlikon ) is a Swiss orienteer .

Daniel Hubmann is considered the most successful Swiss orienteer. He is a trained carpenter and has been a professional orienteer since 2007. He was best known for his double victory at the Junior World Championships ( JWOC ) in 2002. The Swiss Sports Aid Foundation then recognized him as Young Athlete of the Year 2002. He was elected a Thurgau athlete four times before he was named a sports legend in the Canton of Thurgau in 2015 . His greatest successes so far include the five overall World Cup victories (2008 to 2011, 2014), the world championship title over the long distance in 2008 and 2009 and the world championship title in the sprint 2011. With the torn Achilles tendon in 2012, Daniel Hubmann also had to overcome difficult times.
