Lars Lönnkvist

Lars Erik Lönnkvist (born April 4, 1957 ) is a former Swedish orienteer .

Lönnkvist completed his first world championships in Denmark in 1978 and was seventh and second in the individual race with the Swedish relay. 1979 in Tampere he finished fifth in the individual race and won the relay race with Rolf Pettersson , Kjell Lauri and Björn Rosendahl . In 1980 he became Nordic champion. He won this title a second time in 1986. With the Swedish relay Lönnkvist won the silver medal at Nordic championships in 1980, 1982, 1986 and 1988. At world championships he won relay silver in 1981 and relay bronze in 1983 and 1987.

In 1977, 1979, 1981 (all three with OK Ravinen ) and 1984 with Tullinge SK , Lars Lönnkvist won the Tiomila relay competition . In 1980 and 1982 he won the Jukola in Finland with Ravinen . Between 1978 and 1980 he was three times in a row Swedish relay champion with OK Ravinen. In 1984 he won the Swedish championship over the classic distance. Lars Lönnkvist won the Swedish multi-day O-ring in 1980, 1982, 1987 and 1988.

Lars Lönnkvist is married to the Swedish orienteer Barbro Lönnkvist . The orienteer Jenny Lönnkvist is her daughter.
