Harald Thon

Harald Thon (* 1954 ) is a former Norwegian orienteer .

Harald Thon is the older brother of the world-class orienteer Øyvin Thon , who became individual world champion in 1979 and 1981 and won the world championship five times with the relay. As part of this Norwegian season of the 1980s, Harald Thon himself became world champion in 1981 and 1983. At the World Championships in 1981 in Thun , Switzerland , he was 10th in the individual run. At Nordic championships he won three bronze and one silver medal, with his bronze medal from 1980, when he finished third behind Lars Lönnkvist from Sweden and Tore Sagvolden from Norway, his best individual result at international championships.
