Kjell Lauri

Kjell Lauri is a former Swedish orienteer .

In 1974 in Nokia and in 1976 in Oslo Lauri was Nordic Junior Champion. When he first participated in the World Cup in 1978 in Kongsberg, he was runner-up with the Swedish relay team, and in 1978 he won the O-ring in the area around Skara . In 1979 the Swedes won the world title with Rolf Pettersson , Lauri, Lars Lönnkvist and Björn Rosendahl , in the individual competition Lauri finished fourth. At the world championships in 1983 and 1985 Lauri won a bronze and a silver medal with the relay.

With the Almby IK team , Lauri won the Jukola in 1981, 1984 and 1985 with Jörgen Mårtensson, among others . In 1985 he won the Tiomila with Almby and the Swedish relay championship in 1981, 1983 and 1985. In 1979 he was Swedish champion in the long distance, in 1979 and 1982 in the ultra long distance and in 1978 in the night orienteering.
