Ingo Scheller

Ingo Scheller (born July 25, 1938 in Berlin ) was a professor at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg from 1973–2004 .

Life

From 1960 to 1967 Scheller studied German, theater studies and sports at the universities of Hamburg , Göttingen and Marburg . Between 1967 and 1973 he worked as a trainee lawyer and teacher at high schools and at a comprehensive school in Osnabrück and Bielefeld and taught German, art and sport. From 1974 to 2004 he taught at the Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg. There he received his doctorate in 1983 on the subject of "experience-based teaching", followed in 1996 by his habilitation there on the subjects of scenic play and scenic interpretation. While he initially concentrated on drama as part of experience-oriented German and social studies lessons, since the 1990s his work has focused on the scenic interpretation of dramas, literary texts and works of art. After 1991 he was also successfully involved in the further training of social workers, particularly in dealing with migrants.
