Ingo Taleb Rashid

Ingo Taleb Rashid (* 2. May 1963 ) is an out of the Iraq derived Sufi Sheikh and dance theater director .

Life

Rashid is the director of El Haddawi, a school for integrative body work as well as the head of the Naqshbandi-Rashidiya Sufi tradition and founder of Movement Concept - a teaching and learning system that incorporates long-term studies in the following areas: modern dance , traditional forms of movement and meditation the Middle East, theater studies, classical Japanese martial arts, butoh dance, theater, Feldenkrais method , capoeira , classical ballet , Stanislawski acting method, stuntman training.

Since his youth, Rashid has made long stays in Japan to study martial arts and culture. Since 1993 he has worked repeatedly with Kazuo Ohno (one of the founders of the Japanese Butoh) and his son Yoshito.

Among other things, he choreographed the musical Peace Child , one of the first theater productions in Israel in which Jewish and Arab children worked together. The Danse Macabre production was inspired by the dance of death pictures on the Spreuer Bridge in Lucerne and premiered there and in Graz.

Rashid regularly gives performances, seminars and lectures in Europe, Asia, North and South America. Since 2001 he has organized the international El Haddawi winter school on Frauenchiemsee , since 2008 the Chiemgau dance theater festival and seminar trips.
