Ingrid Bergman , also known as 'Poulman', is the name of a hybrid tea that was introduced by Poulsen in 1986. It comes from the variety (syn. Red Star ) and a seedling . Ingrid Bergman has single, classic dark red, velvet-like flowers up to 10 cm in size, which bloom from long, black-red buds from June to September and are slightly scented. It is suitable as a cut rose.
For a hybrid tea, Ingrid Bergman is unusually hardy to −29 ° C ( USDA Zone 5 ), rainproof, grows as a compact, robust shrub up to 100 cm in height. It is suitable for planting as a floribunda rose and for group planting. The large, shiny leaves are copper-colored when they shoot, later dark green.
The rose variety was named after the Swedish actress Ingrid Bergman (1915–1982).
