Ingrid Czerny
Ingrid Czerny (* 1932 in Gablonz , Czechoslovakia ) is a German opera singer (coloratura soprano).
Act
Ingrid Czerny studied at the music academies in Berlin and Leipzig (with R. Meinl-Weise).
She made her debut in 1957 as Queen of the Night in Walter Felsenstein's production of The Magic Flute at the Komische Oper Berlin and was a member of this house until her retirement. Here she sang primarily the subject of lyrical coloratura soprano (Konstanze, Fiordiligi) and soubrette roles (Lauretta, Musetta, Adele). Czerny has also appeared in Handel operas and numerous oratorios .
Guest appearances have taken her with her ensemble to the Soviet Union and other European countries.
