Ingrid Held is a former French film actress .

Life

Held came to film in the mid-1980s. She took her first role in 1985 in an episode of the television series Hôtel du siècle ; her screen debut followed in the same year in the Japanese-French co-production L'échoppe aux souvenirs , in which she was seen alongside Philippe Caroit and Richard Clayderman . In the British war film Sky Bandits , Held took on the role of the soldier's lover Mitsou the following year. Her breakthrough as an actress came in 1988 in Georges Lautner's film drama The Murdered House . For her portrayal of Charmaine Dupin, she was nominated in 1989 for a César for Best Young Actress. Further roles in film and television followed, including in international productions such as Spymaker (1990) and Karel Kachyňa's The Last Butterfly (1991). Held's recent work included a supporting role in Diane Kurys ' After Love . Held withdrew from the film business in 1992 and has been working as a teacher ever since.
