Ingrid von Rosenberg

Ingrid von Rosenberg (* 1938 in Berlin ) is a German English specialist and university professor . Rosenberg is Professor Emeritus for Great Britain Studies at the Technical University of Dresden .

Life

From 1958 to 1966 Ingrid von Rosenberg studied English, German, philosophy and education at universities in Hamburg, Bonn, Edinburgh and Berlin. After the birth of her son Kai-Frederic (1966) and the first state examination for teaching at secondary schools in Berlin, she was a research assistant at the English seminar at the Free University of Berlin from 1970, and from 1976–1978 research assistant at the English seminar at the Technical University of Braunschweig . In 1979 she completed her doctorate in English literary studies at the Free University of Berlin, then she worked as a research assistant in the department for study reform at the Senator for Science, until 1997 research assistant at the English seminar at the University of Duisburg , she also worked as a literary translator. After her habilitation in 1994, she took over from 1995 to 1996 as a substitute for the chair for English literature at the University of Passau . This was followed by a substitute professorship for British studies at the Technical University of Dresden. Until her retirement in 2004, she was Professor of British Studies at the Technical University of Dresden.
