Ingvild Pharo

Ingvild Elisabeth Pharo (born March 27, 1947 in Løkken Verk ) is a Norwegian art historian and author .

Pharo is the author of numerous art historical writings and textbooks. Her specialty is European architecture and painting from antiquity to modern times .

In addition to her work at the Norwegian National Gallery ( National Museum Oslo ), she also gave lectures at the University of Oslo and at the Folkeuniversitetet Oslo.

Until his death, she was married to the economic historian and professor Tore Jørgen Hanisch of Agder University . Four sons have emerged from this relationship: Jørgen, Håkon, Torkjell and Øyvind Pharo Hanisch.
