Inio Asano ( Japanese 浅 野 い に お , Asano Inio ; * 1980 in Ibaraki Prefecture , Japan ) is a Japanese manga artist .

biography

Inio Asano studied at Tamagawa University . In 2000 he made his debut as a professional mangaka with the short story Futsū no Hi ( 普通 の 日 ); this story appeared in a special magazine of the Big Comic Spirit . He then worked as an assistant to the manga artist Shin Takahashi . In 2001 he won with another short story, Uchū kara Konnichi wa ( 宇宙 か ら コ ン ニ チ ハ ), the young talent competition of the manga magazine Sunday Gene-X , for which he created further short comics, but also series. The What a Wonderful World! ( 素 晴 ら し い 世界 , Subarashii Sekai ) was published in this magazine from 2002 to 2004. It consists of 19 loosely related stories about the life of young people in Japanese society. The Shogakukan publishing house also published these stories in two books. As a kind of sequel to What a Wonderful World! Sun Village ( ひ か り の ま ち , Hikari no Machi ) came out in 2005 .

For a smaller publisher, Ōta Shuppan , or for its lifestyle magazine Quick Japan , he drew the experimental series Das Feld des Regenbogen ( 虹 ヶ 原 ホ ロ グ ラ フ , Nijigahara Holograph ) from 2003 to 2005 .

Asano has mainly worked for the Young Sunday magazine since 2005 . For this he created the series Solanin ( ソ ラ ニ ン ) from 2005 to 2006 , since 2007 he has been working on Gute Nacht, Punpun ( お や す み プ ン プ ン , Oyasumi Punpun ), which he completed in 2013.

At the same time, he published from 2009 to 2013 in Ōta Shuppan's Manga Erotics F magazine the later two-volume work Mädchen am Strand ( う み べ の 女 の 子 , Umibe no onna no ko ).

Since April 28, 2014 he has been publishing his ongoing series (デ ッ ド デ ッ ド デ ー モ ン ズ デ デ デ デ デ ス ト ラ ク シ ョ ンDeddo Deddo Dēmonzu De De De De Desutorakushon ) Dead Dead Demons DeDeDeDeDestruction in the Big Comic Spirits . This has also been published in German by Tokyopop since May 12, 2016 (currently 7 volumes published).

His work has been translated into German, English, Spanish, French and Italian.
