Big comic spirits
Big Comic Spirits ( Japanese ビ ッ グ コ ミ ッ ク ス ピ リ ッ ツ , Biggu Komikku Supirittsu ) is a Japanese manga magazine aimed at young men ( his own ). Sister magazines are Big Comic , Big Comic Original and Big Comic Superior .
The magazine is published monthly by Shogakukan publishing house at a price of 260 yen. The main part of the magazine is made up of various chapters of manga series and manga short stories. These are often about adult men who work and are in love. Series with erotic content such as Believers and successful science fiction manga such as 20th Century Boys also appear in the magazine.
When it was founded in 1980 , Big Comic Spirits was published twice a month. Initially, the magazine was not particularly successful, but this only changed with the start of Rumiko Takahashi's successful series Maison Ikkoku . Big Comic Spirits has been appearing on Mondays every week since April 1986 . In 2005 it had an average circulation of approximately 417,000 copies per issue, a decrease of 9.5% compared to the previous year.
