Collection agency (Austria)

Debt collection companies , also called debt collection agencies and debt collection institutes , are service companies that are entitled to offer the extrajudicial collection of third-party claims in a third-party name ( Section 118 (1) and (2 ) GewO ).

The remuneration of the collection agencies is capped by law.
